I’m going to see a counsellor on campus this week (or rather, I’m going to talk to someone to who will then match me with some sort of counsellor on campus to suit my needs), and I’ve never spoken to anybody in sort of a clinical setting before, so I was just wondering if I should like, make a list before I go, of the things that I want to talk about/deal with. come prepared with how I’ve felt on different days over the past few weeks. thoughts?
Yes, it would be helpful to you and your therapist. It will help you figure out what your needs really are and get you started. If you can’t make the list or don’t want to (for any reason), then a good therapist will help you get started anyway. So short answer, do what you want and can do 😄
